RF Chokes & Smaller Ferrite Core Inductors

I've begun listing some of my smaller inductors below, but will likely never finish with so many types and over 2700 from 0.01 uhy to 1000 mhy so let me know if you don't see what you need and I'll get back to you with what I have.

I indicate in 'Notes' when an image is of the actual inductor(s), but most simply show the style / type of inductor.

– Some of the used inductors have leads nearly as long as a new one, but most were removed from PC boards so have leads about 1/4" to 3/4" long depending on the type and size of inductor.

This is a complete listing of all of the square inductors like this that I have.

Lead Length on most is 1/2" making them best for PCB use, but a few have 1.5" leads that could be used most anywhere without having to solder on extension leads.

Note 1: Inductance was calculated from impedance at noted frequency using method on this web page.

Note 2: Inductance was calculated using a capacitor and parallel resonant circuit at noted frequency.

In both cases, 1 & 2, current rating of measured inductor, if any, is simply an educated guess.

RF/IF Coils & Transformers

6 Motorola radio circuit boards, each with 16 RF/IF coils. Use as is or as a source of 1/2" sq. x 3/4" copper
shielding cans and 1/8" dia. coil forms with tuning slugs for winding whatever inductance one needs.

0.6kg96 RF/IF Coils in total for $10

There's numerous trays of coils, coil forms, cans, etc. plus many more with vaious forms of ferrite coils and bare ferrite cores.

Listing all these items would take more time then I have plus it's not really worth doing so considering what they are worth, but e-mail if you're interested in a number of a particular type and I'll put together a bag full for $5 or so.

Above - There's only a small assortment of spare RF coil metal cans left which are all PC board mounting type, as are all of the other remaining cans with a coil, except for the cans on the 3 RF coils with chassis mount type cans seen below.

For those who asked or may be interested in how I manage to store and keep track of so many items ...........
The secret to storing so many items in limited space is to use storage trays and boxes that are all the same length and width and vary in height by the same incremental size (i.e. 2, 3 or 4 times the height of the smallest) as this makes grouping and stacking them very easy in the least amount of space. I also built custom sized storage shelves that are the same the depth and 2 to 4 times the width and height of a box to further maximize storage space. I began by using envelope boxes as they were a convenient size and free from many companies that regularly mail large numbers of invoices, or whatever, and then simply crush, bail & recycle countless numbers of these perfectly good, like new, reusable boxes. The boxes are too large for smaller items for which I use trays with dividers made from sheets of cardboard obtained from large cardboard boxes also available for free. A bottom and 4 side pieces make up the actual tray and by cutting evenly spaced 1/8" wide notches 1/2 the height along divider pieces allows sliding the pieces together for divider assemblies that are then simply dropped into each tray. Hot glue is used to hold everything together and by using a table saw to cut numerous pieces at the same time of each different cardboard piece required allows a number of trays to be built very quickly.
